The street
artists with their art are the signs to help me go without any communication
between thousands of melodic rhythm of life.
Yes, it is
true that this world has many boring stories!
Yes, it is
true that human hearts are divided with countless conflicts!
Yes, it is
true that my burning passion can be defeated by common sense reasoning!
But it is
alright! Night could be long like the white night that I had been through, then
still day immediately followed after. Yet I still found my path in daily life
with performances of street artists.
Were they
really acting? No – I think: that was their lives that were presented by
themselves. There is no difference between them and those angels who guard the
sacred garden that appears right in our mortal world. They showed me that
somebody’s life could be either large or small depending on that same person’s
intuition. For me, I always want to make blurs the boundary of my life.
I am
grateful to those street artists whom I have met and may meet again, for
without them I could not have finished the artworks for this exhibition.

không lạc nhịp giữa muôn ngàn giai điệu cuộc đời.

người ngược xuôi với vô vàn sự va chạm!
Ừ thì nỗi
đam mê cháy bỏng của tôi luôn có thể bị dập tắt bởi những lý lẽ thường tình!
Có sao đâu!
Đêm có thể dài như đêm trắng ở nơi tôi qua, và ngày vẫn tiếp liền sau đêm ấy.
Tôi vẫn tìm thấy lối mình đi từ những cuộc diễn giữa đời của những nghệ sĩ đường
phố.
Có thực sự
là họ đang diễn? Không - tôi nghĩ : Đó là cuộc đời của họ đang được phô bày bởi
chính họ. Họ không khác gì những thiên thần giữ cửa vào vườn địa đàng hiển hiện
ngay chốn bụi trần. Họ cho tôi thấy sự rộng hẹp của cuộc đời ai đó phụ thuộc rất
nhiều vào trực giác của chính con người đó. Và tôi thì luôn muốn xóa nhòa biên
giới cuộc đời mình.

- Exhibition starts from 07/10/2011 to 20/10/2011, all day opens with 9 oil paintings name as one "UN - CONCENTRATION" [5 paintings are sized 80x1m, 4 paintings are sized 80x1m2]. - "Painting is my extremely honest world where I find myself again", La Nhu Lan said about his work. This series of paintings is also a series of the artist's endless self- introspection of his haunting loneliness, of himself who is he. His own self-portrait depicts with the dark cold sharped colors, goes along with the paintings which are named after hours of sleepless nights from "Un-Concentration" exhibition (since 2010).
Về triển lãm “TUI” của Họa sĩ La Như Lân :
Khai mạc triển lãm từ ngày 07/10/2011 đến hết ngày 20/10/2011 với 9 bức tranh sơn dầu cùng tên “Miên Man” với 5 bức kích thước 80x1m và 4 bức 80x1m2.
“Hội họa là thế giới chân thật nhất của tôi và là nơi tôi tìm lại được chính mình”, là tự sự duy nhất của La Như Lân về tác phẩm. Loạt tranh này của anh là chuỗi tự sự miên man không dứt về ám ảnh cô đơn, về cái TÔI của chính mình. Tự khắc họa chân dung mình bằng những sắc màu lạnh buốt của bóng đêm, tiếp nối theo những bức tranh được đặt tên theo giờ của những đêm không ngủ từ triển lãm “Miên man” (năm 2010).

He. Waking up facing dreams. Nightmares next to nightmares.
The dwell’s as tiny as a coffin. Air’s an expensive thing.
Bread is a desire. He’s hungry. And thirsty, too.
He. Old books. Cockroachs and Dostoevski. Dream of a thin horse.
Walk in shame. Cry like a child. Unconsciousness.
He. Act to escaped from a collapsed world. This place is a jail. Knife. A
woman in blood.
He. Free.
That’s all I have known about my next short film, ‘ The Horse’. Hallucinatory images
seem a dream. It’s the ambiance of that fictional world of the character of mine that I
feel strongest. At that place, hunger- thirst- suffocation, impact on the human spirit and
morality.
The images of my next short film appear in my mind in black and white. The harsh
contrast of brightness and darkness overwhelming ‘his coffin’. The harmony of light
when ‘He’ is set free from that ‘ collapsed world’ at the ending. Black and white, that’s
everything.
Taking inspiration from ‘ Crime and Punishment’ by Dostoevski. In addition with my
personal experiences. The film about a crime triggered from hunger, finally leading to a
trapped freedom.
I am recently in need of financial support for my film project; or simply, new friends to
share a cinema affinity with me.

CON NGỰA
Hắn. Tỉnh giấc đối mặt với mộng mị. Ác mộng nối tiếp ác mộng. Cái
buồng chật như một quan tài. Không khí là thứ xa xỉ.
Bánh mì là niềm ao ước. Hắn đói. Và khát nữa.
Hắn. Những cuốn sách mọc mốc. Gián và Dostoevski. Giấc mơ về con
ngựa gầy. Đi trong hổ thẹn. Bật khóc như một đứa trẻ. Bất tỉnh.
Hắn. Hành động để thoát khỏi cám cảnh. Nơi này là một ngục thất. Con
dao. Người đàn bà trên vũng máu.
Hắn. Tự do.
Đó là tất cả những gì tôi biết về phim ngắn sắp tới của tôi, ‘Con Ngựa’. Những hình
ảnh nhập nhoạng như trong một giấc mơ. Điều tôi cảm nhận rõ nhất là không khí của
thế giới của nhân vật của tôi. Nơi đó, cái đói- cái khát- sự thiếu oxy, chi phối tinh thần
con người và cả đạo đức.
Hình ảnh về phim ngắn sắp tới hiện lên trong tôi chỉ với hai màu đen và trắng. Sự gay
gắt của sáng và tối trong cái buồng quan tài của ‘Hắn’. Sự dung hòa ánh sáng khi ‘Hắn’
đã ‘thoát khỏi cám cảnh’ ở cuối phim. Đen và trắng, đó là tất cả.
Cảm hứng từ ‘ Tội ác và hình phạt’ của Dostoevski. Và từ những trải nghiệm cá nhân.
Phim về một hành động tội ác bị thôi thúc bởi cái đói, để cuối cùng là sự tự do giam
cầm.
Tôi đang tìm kiếm những sự giúp đỡ từ bất kỳ ai quan tâm đến phim ảnh và việc làm
phim. Hay đơn giản, là những người bạn mới chia sẻ niềm thích thú phim ảnh với tôi.
