The Complex - "a hidden meaning of life with the loneliness between the chaos of pittiness.”

People who are not related into Art subjects often think about drawing anatomy (research drawing) with unlimited imagination. These can be the subject is interesting, the standard models itself with perfect body shapes, and the art students who eager to explore the details will never apsent, etc… Installation Anatomy Paintings Exhibition of artist Vo Duy Don will open the classroom’s door for the viewers to experience the study hours behind the mystery shutted doors glue those curiousity words “nude drawing, please do not disturb”. What is inside the classroom actually? There have sketching easels, canvas with human body sketchs. There have sisters; brothers; uncles who are modeling with their best performances to keep their bodies are stiff. There have the future painters who are concertrating to draw with all their respects to those artists’ models do not afraid of exposing themselves naked. The results of all the hard work process of both the artist and the model has created those artworks in different moods, to clear the curiousity mind of people who know nothing about the environment inside the drawing room.

"The Complex” of artist Vo Duy Don re-constructs the drawing room along the traditional oil paintings in classical model compositions in the School of Arts. The artist drew the human form of fatigue and stress, apparently is no longer covered and layered by clothes, but still buried in human’s states: how the fear cover his eyes when shut, how his hands wring when tired, how to keep the balance in life. Each element in the painting is a metaphor about simple lives in the pity of chaos, the interesting of peace or the reality of boring acceptance. The artwork has been installed with several paintings experience the models’ inside feelings and moods. Let’s the viewers forget their curiousty about the nude bodies. Let’s them understand the combination, the hard work had been done between the artist and the models and the lives and feeling of people who are walking on the line between to be artist’s models and to be humiliated by society about exposing themselves naked in front of thousand eyes.
